• Be a nurturing parent and good role mode
• Teach your child personal safety
• Establish open communication and be supportive
• Help a friend, neighbor or relative if they are having difficulty with their family.
• Educate yourself and parents you know about healthy child development and healthy parenting.
• Get involved- advocate for services that help families.
• Support/voluteer at local children's programs.
• Help to develop/support parenting resources in your community.
• Ask for help yourself.
• Support all of the parents in your community.
• Report suspected child abuse to law enforcement or social services.
